A new Seiko 5 Sports creation celebrates Seiko’s 145th anniversary in Edo purple, reflecting an evolving aesthetic shaped by Tokyo’s heritage.
In the third series of commemorative limited-edition watches celebrating Seiko’s 145th anniversary, “Edo purple” serves as a central design element. This color reflects traditions passed on from ancient Edo to modern-day Tokyo and the spirit of creativity that has kept Japan’s largest city evolving into the present day.
Based on the popular SKX series, this model features a dial color inspired by “Edo-murasaki”. A shade of purple that was popular in clothing during the Edo period is making it attractive to pair with contemporary fashion.
Seiko 5 Sports logo features gold lettering that evokes a “bright future,” expressing the splendor of the 145th anniversary.
The stainless steal bracelet features a three-row design, ensuring a comfortable fit against the skin and exuding an elegant, luxurious feel.
