Meet Our Team
Craig's career began at a young age while working at his family’s jewelry store. He’s now worked in the jewelry industry for over 35 years. His passion for gemology inspired him to attend the Gemological Institute of America, in Santa Monica, CA. It was there that he began his teaching career as an Instructor of Gemology.
Years later, he crossed paths with famed treasure hunter, Mel Fisher, who had discovered the Spanish shipwreck, Nuestra Señora de Atocha. Mel's team had recovered a 90 carat Colombian emerald and Craig was hooked. A conversation with Mel lead him to join his team of treasure hunters in Key West. He went on to become the Exhibition Director and developed the "Treasures of the Atocha" exhibit which traveled to 85 cities throughout North America. The final stop of the exhibit was at Lyle Husar Designs in 1998.
While there, Craig decided it was time to return to the family business. He has lead the company through three major expansions and is now the proud owner of Craig Husar Fine Diamonds & Jewelry Designs.
This Renaissance man is most grateful for his relationship with his family; wife Danielle, children; Becca, Aidan and Nadia, and four-legged companion Oliver.
