Annual Calendar: The annual calendar function automatically differentiates between 30- and 31-day months, requiring only one date adjustment per year (on March 1st). This feature is indicated by small windows around the circumference of the dial that correspond to the months of the year.
Saros System: Named after the astronomical phenomenon, the Saros annual calendar mechanism is a Rolex-patented innovation that uses only four additional gear wheels and two gear ratios to automatically adjust the date.
