The GMT-Master was originally designed in collaboration with Pan American Airways for their pilots in the 1950s. Its primary function was to display multiple time zones simultaneously, catering to the needs of international pilots and travelers.

Introduction of the Ceramic Bezel: Rolex introduced ceramic (or Cerachrom) bezels to the GMT-Master II line in the mid-2000s. This material offered several advantages over traditional materials, including being virtually scratch-proof and highly resistant to fading from UV exposure.

The GMT-Master II 126710BLNR: The reference 126710BLNR was introduced at Baselworld 2019. It replaced the previous Batman model, the 116710BLNR, with several significant updates.

Caliber 3285 Movement: One of the notable updates was the inclusion of Rolex's new-generation movement, the Caliber 3285. This movement boasts improved precision, power reserve, and resistance to shocks and magnetism compared to its predecessor, the Caliber 3186.

Jubilee Bracelet The GMT-Master II 126710BLNR features a jubilee style bracelet crafted from high grade 904L stainless steel.

Black and Blue Cerachrom Bezel: The most distinctive feature of the GMT-Master II 126710BLNR is its black and blue Cerachrom bezel, which earned it the "Batman" nickname. The combination of colors is not only visually striking but also practical for distinguishing between day and night hours.
