SEIKO Prospex U.S. Special Edition SPB419
SEIKO Prospex U.S. Special Edition SPB419
A US-exclusive tribute to America's own ice diving on Lake Michigan
Seiko’s reputation for reliable and durable diver’s watches was forged in the 1960’s and 1970’s when they were chosen by adventurers and researchers on expeditions to the north and south poles. Inspired by Seiko’s 1965 landmark first diver’s watch, and available exclusively in the U.S. market, this exceptional Special Edition is one of a trio celebrating some of the most demanding diving locations in America and those who dare to explore them.
Patterned to evoke the icy surface of the perilous, yet beautiful, Michigan Blue Ice, the gradated vivid blue dial features a date calendar and bold LumiBrite hands and markers, and is framed by a blue uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel. The curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface provides enhanced legibility. Crafted of stainless steel with scratch resistant super-hard coating, this rugged and stylish timepiece also includes a screwdown crown and caseback, and a tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender. Following ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters, this exceptional watch offers manual winding capability and includes a 24-jewel automatic movement with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It is water resistant to 200 meters.
